Review of Ekk Deewana Tha 2012
Prateik Babbar is playing lead in the movie named Sachin. He is a regular guy-22 year old engineering graduate from a middle class family in Mumbai
and he falls in love with the world of cinema. Then he became an struggler in the film industry and in film industry he waited long days are filled with waiting and then some more waiting, surviving on his father's pocket money and desperately trying to make an entry into any of the main film camps-there is nothing that makes each day worth looking forward to. He has less money and he tries to gain it and tries to look for an opportunity. And that's when he sees Jessie, and it is love at first sight for him. Jessie character played by Amy Jackson. She looked beautiful, elegant, smart and classy she is not a simple as she seems and belongs to an orthodox Malayali Christian family where watching movies, partying or falling in love are completely taboo.
While Sachin battles with the idea of someone like Jessie and her family living in 21st century, modern Mumbai-he finds himself increasingly drawn to her. Jessie, for her part, tries to forge a friendship between them-believing that cloaking their feelings under the umbrella of friendship would save them heartache, tears and a full blown family drama.
This love is intense and well directed by Gautham Menon. the story line is same same his other movie. But he didn't able to show his magic this time. But it is fun to watch this beautiful couple on screen. The songs of the movie are beautiful and perfect for situations.
Movie Verdict: ***1/2
